He likes to talk about the baby, but doesn't really understand it. He knows the baby is in my belly, and will hold his shirt up to show me his belly/baby. He likes to hug my belly/baby good night and tells me all the stuff he will teach Baby "Sisser" or "Brudder." In his words..."Moo-cow, baaa-sheep, arf arf-dog, meeeoww, cat, oink oink-pig, cock-a-doodle-doo-chicken, neigh-horse, cowboy-yeehaw." And, that's pretty much how he says it! Colin can count to ten, but gets a little confused when you hold up your fingers to count...he says, "One, two, free (3), four, fi (5), six, seben (7), eight, four, five, ten!" If you don't hold up your fingers, he can mostly get it right. He has these little nesting cups with numbers and he always gets those right!
It has been so blazin' hot around here that we really haven't gone outside much unless it's to go swimming with a friend or we wait until after dinnertime. He loves to run around our front yard and driveway with his bubble mower and color with sidewalk chalk. He even shares his sidewalk chalk with our next door neighbor, Mrs. Patsy!
He is such a little ham and loves to make people laugh! I think he's going to be a lot like his Uncle Josh and be a class clown. He is definitely a normal 2 year old and has major meltdowns and fits often, but overall he's just a sweet, happy-go-lucky little fella!
One week from today (Monday the first) we have our ultrasound and will hopefully find out if this baby is a boy or a girl!!! My hormones have done crazy things to my brain and my train of thought. Poor Trey! I got it in my head that we HAD to have a name picked out last week, and honest to goodness, could not sleep while names were undecided. Crazy, right?? I mean, I know this, but it doesn't change the fact that I literally could not sleep. So, guess who has names picked out??? We do!! It was crazy that I immediately started getting better sleep. Ah, the mind of a crazy pregnant lady (again, poor Trey)! We've picked Mason Snow for a boy (Snow was my grandmother Park's maiden name, and is also my Dad's middle name) and Lily Elizabeth--no real significance except that my middle name is Elizabeth.
