Little Sprouts

The Botanical Garden of the Ozarks in Fayetteville hosts these cool little programs on Wednesday mornings (May thru-October) called Little Sprouts.  They usually have a story and learn about something fun that relates to the gardens.  We went once last year and enjoyed it because it's so pretty, but decided to again this week since it's been nice outside and I thought Colin would have fun.  I was right!  He had so much fun!  This week they learned all about butterflies and the process the butterfly goes through to become a butterfly.  They also included a tour thru the butterfly garden (which we opted out of...I was afraid Colin might try to hug or squish a butterfly.  That would be bad.  Very bad.).

We made a little craft (this is my helper, Jillian--Jilly is one of Colin's BFF's, daughter of my friend Julie) all about the butterflies that included a timeline from egg to butterfly.  Pretty cool stuff!

We had a fun morning at the garden, and they still have a few Little Sprouts programs left, so we might try to go again!  It'll be even nicer when it cools off a little more!
