Our church has a Women's Gala every year (and has for the last 14 years) to raise money for the youth mission trips, and also to support our youth and children's ministries. I was volunteered for the "honor" of serving on the Women's board this year, and the Women's board plans and executes the gala. Our gala was Friday and we had a lot of fun! My friend Julie helped come up with the idea for our bible study group's table (along with having most of the decorations!). She had her Mom's prom dress from 1956, so we used that as the centerpiece and went with a 50's Prom Night theme.
Our 50's Prom night table--favors of peanuts and Coke--thanks, Aunt P for the idea!
This dress is ridiculously tiny. Julie's Mom had an 18" waist when she got married. Julie's 2 year old can wear this dress perfectly if that puts it into perspective--and she wears a 3T!

My sweet "sistas" and our table! Only 5 of us could attend the gala from our group, but we had a fun time!
