Colin got the cutest game for his birthday (yes, back in June) called Diggity Dog. I pulled it out to see if he was ready for some board games...and he LOVES it!! Honestly, loves is an understatement. We play it at least 4 times a day (last week it was around 7 times a day). He is always the blue dog and he changes what color Mommy is all the time. He called my Mom on the phone last week and asked her if she wanted to come up and play Diggity Dog with him. So, of course she drove up the next day to play! He's also into Candyland (always the blue gingerbread man--can you tell what his favorite color is?). I have learned that he likes to cheat when I'm not looking and can be a sore loser! Trying to curb both those behaviors and teach him to lose graciously.
Mason is steadily growing. It is so hard for me to believe that he will be one in just over a month! Where has the time gone? He's still rocking three teeth (with the 4th coming out any day), eats EVERYTHING (aside from oatmeal), and is on the verge of walking (eeekkkk!!!!). He is so much more independent than Colin was at this age and already wants to do everything himself. He gets mad at me when I try to feed him. He will hit the spoon away from his face and then glare at me. Oh man!! He's a handful, but he's also very sweet. There's not much better than one of his megawatt smiles or belly laughs. And no one can make him laugh like Colin. Love the bond those two have already. Excited to spend time with family the next few days!
