4 Months and Growing!

Colin had his four month visit at the pediatrician's office on Wednesday--not much fun!! Lots of kiddos with the flu--Trey and I tried to keep a little "bubble" around him. He is up to 13 pounds 5.5 ounces (23rd percentile), 23 inches (2nd percentile--he's just a little guy), but the kicker is his head--a whopping 43 cm (75th percentile)!! I think the formula is all going to his head--his brains are growing, but his body, not so much. That's ok. He'll finish med school by the time he's 13, and let me retire early. Of course, we had to do the dreaded shots this visit-sooo not fun. Actually worse this time around; so I'm not looking forward to the 6 month visit at all.

His teeth are coming right along, but nothing has sprouted out just yet--sometimes I think it's going to be any day though because he's drooling all over the place and chewing on things constantly. He can roll over very well from his stomach to his back (it makes his tummy time so difficult!), and grabs anything he can get his hot little hands on (including Mommy's hair--ouch!). He's still eating around 4 ounces at each sitting--sometimes more; sometimes less.

Proud Memee and Pappy (or Gigi and Guh)

Mom and Dad came up this week just to see C-Man for a little bit. They've also decided to change their names (at least temporarily) because Colin is saying "Gigi"--only kinda, but definitely says "Guh" all the time. Maybe he's saying Gus! He does love the puppies! Speaking of Gus, he also came to visit and had a great time with Stella and Simon.

Using the Bouncer! Scotty and GP (Great Papaw) got this awesome contraption for C-Man and he LOVES it! He's just now big enough (ok, ok we have to put a bathroom scale underneath) to use it and he thinks it is so much fun! Thank you Scotty and GP! We love you!

He just found out that Scotty and GP bought him this--he's sending lots of smiles, hugs, and kisses to Perryville.

Pappy and his Pardna! Pappy is trying desperately to figure out how Colin can A) ride in the tractor; B) ride a horse. He even found a saddle "just Colin's size" today. Oh, brother.

Today when I went to pick Colin up from school, he saw me walking down the hallway, and his sweet little face lit up with joy! His eyes got big, and the sweetest smile came across his face--that's the first time he's recognized me from far away and gotten that excited to see me! Oh, man...talk about melting my heart! I already had a great day; but that made it the best day. I almost started crying right there in the hallway--what a sweet little man.

We have a very exciting weekend ahead of us. Boppy (Trey's Mom) is coming to stay with us for a couple of days, plus we get to see Memaw and Papaw, Aunt Toochie, AND Trey's Great Great Aunt Hazel! Hopefully, I'll remember my camera! :)
